I'm sure we've had that poll a billion times but whatever.

Anyway, I basically just marathoned this in the past couple of days a bit suddenly and it was very good. I have previously played Dark Souls and Elden Ring, thought I should give a shot. Maybe I played it too fast, I wish I had dug more into the lore. I didn't realize initially Rom was a point of no return for a lot of things. It would be fun to play more around saving people, I saved almost none lol. I think the game being shorter than the other two kinda tricked me. At least it felt a lot shorter.

For having the same mechanics, I do like how different the games manages to be. This is definitely the one where the plot concept has been the most intriguing. I enjoyed having to dodge a lot more while still retaining the parry function effectively.

Gameplay wise it holds up way better than Dark Souls while still retaining the same overall simple kind of map. I think Rom and to a lesser extent Micolash were the only bosses I disliked, though some are more fun than others. Not sure what the hardest one was, nothing gave too much trouble.

I never really felt any large differences in Insight, I think I could play around with that more, it was honestly a forgettable mechanic, but I might have just not realized what it did. The enemies that could eat it from you were the least fun, mostly because of how extremely long time their attack animatjon took if they hit you.

I did a single challice dungeon a bit later than intended and I don't think I will care too much to do more rather than just playing another game, at least not right away, but I see the potential for sure.

I'm not sure where to rank this compared to the other two. Story/lore wise it's definitely more interesting. Set piece wise, it probably ranks a bit lower overall but the worst areas of Dark Souls is definitely below anything here (Brightown, Lost Izalith). Bloodborne has been surprisingly consistent! I think Elden Ring ranks on top but I am unsure.

Very good experience!

Been replaying through them all (just need to do Demon's Souls remake now) in anticipation for Elden Ring DLC and I'd rank them

ER > DS3 > Sekiro > Bloodborne > DS1 > DS2

Bloodborne is still awesome, has the best lore and world of any of them I feel, but I definitely noticed this time around its age and 30 fps limitations. Downright sluggish at times!

For sure. I don't think it felt aged at all. Granted, I know people care more about FPS than me but yeah. Looked great to me.

What is generally considered the best parts of it?

You're missing out on some unique bosses in the chalice dungeons but i understand they get too repetitive for some people to slog through

Oh yeah, the DLC I would like to do. Good call. I knew it was there but didn't buy it before playing the game of course.

Yeah, I kinda regret not doing them sooner but I did the first one after every single boss except the last one because I was like "oh this looks like endgame, never tried the challice". They could've been a nice change of pace probably.

Not to harp on the point but yeah the dlc has two of the best bosses in FromSoft history. Also one of the worst but it's nowhere near as bad as say Bed of Chaos at least.

On another note I think Bloodborne has the best replayability, not in terms of how many hours you'll get out of it, but the quality of it all. For instance I have more hours in Elden Ring but I don't feel like I have actually played that game as thoroughly since a ton of those hours are just traveling around the gigantic world.

Bloodborne just seems more focused than the other Souls games (aside from Sekiro which is the most focused) with the trick weapons all being so intriguing and even capable of making it feel like a new game depending on which you choose.

Damn I love Bloodborne so much. I could keep talking about it so I'll just stop here

I have more hours in bloodborne than ring still but I'll be closing that gap this summer.

Every weapon in bb feels like an entirely unique experience, in a way that other games don't quite capture.

I'll admit I actually think Bloodborne is a taaaaaad bit overrated, there's some stuff in it that irks me more than in some of my higher listed of the Soulsbornes and I think I'm just a Dark Souls-style preferer through and through, but when it hits it REALLY hits

Damn the praise for the DLC in this thread is enough to make me go back and try it. I got the plat in Bloodborne last year then put it down and moved on. Great game but felt like I'd had my fill after all the chalice dungeon runs.
