Playing hard mode, the apartment storm is absolute horseshit. Tried for hours. You need reflexes of a god. I 100%'d Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls too. I'd like to think by that point Quantic Dream realized that people don't want to pull their hair out for a STORY DRIVEN game.
Never touching this fucking trash ever again.

I haven't played that since the ps2 era. But if you want it for the story, you could try an easier difficulty. Playing on hard mode and finding that it's hard; isn't that the point?

They were probably hoping for actual engaging game mechanics, not just bullshit QTEs (and the QTEs in that game were definitely terrible in general).

It isn't really fun trying to play Simon Says while a movie is playing in the background that you can't really watch because you're focused on the blinking colors. Especially in a story-heavy game where the devs spend most of their time masturbating over how brilliant they think the story is.

Disagree. Simon Says is peak video gaming.

I could never figure out what the game expects from me just to mop the floor at the very start.

That's a bummer. The ending for Indigo Prophecy is pretty batshit.

When you play a game from Quantic Dream, you pretty much expect a dumb story and quick time events. Complaining that the game is giving you a dumb story and quick time events is like peeing in the corner of your bedroom and complaining that your room smells like piss the next day.

Although I will say that in general, the newer a game is, the more it expects the player to want the game to be stupidly easy. I was almost shocked at how ridiculously hand-holding Beyond: Two Souls was compared to Heavy Rain, and how easy Heavy Rain was compared to Fahrenheit.

Indigo Prophecy relies too much on its strong opening - the way characters react to what you did or didn't do.

After that, it's very very very little of that.
