Could be something as simple as bringing in stuff from a shopping trip and leaving it in the car accidentally. Then he thought oh I'll go back out in a second to get it, then he got sidetracked by something else and then sat down and fell asleep. Life is like that sometimes.

If his heart issues were that bad, it would mostly likely be the end of his career as well if he have lived right? I think that might have put him in denial, hence not listening to the doctor.

From what I heard, he sat down on the couch and fell asleep, as you do at times. The defib was still relatively new, so it's not like he had a routine for it.

I believe the issue was that his BP would drop to dangerous levels when he slept, which is why he only needed the defib when he was asleep.
