Gimmie suggestions on what to replace them with. Sound quality and outside noise dampening is a big plus. The one I had was some Bose QuietComfort model probably, if you need a reference point.

Idk much about close back headphones. I have a shitty one from ZMF that I don't like atm. I also have the qc 35 from bose and the wh1000x and wh1000xm3 from Sony. I like the wh1000xm3 btw used to use it all the time before I switched to open-back headphones.

There are a bunch of newer ones released that I havent tried like wh1000xm5, air pods max, and qc 45. There are more from hifiman, focal, dan Clark audio, fostex, beyerdynamic, denon etc..

Maybe check Rtings tbh. They got a list of stuff

I haven't tried the Sony WH-1000XM5, but I have the XM4 (now available discounted).

Sound quality is very good, and the noise cancelling the best I've experienced (I'd definitely put it above Bose QC).

The 5s are probably a touch better, but the 4s are a real bargain now.

Depends on what you want. The ones you listed are closed backs with noise isolation, so the Sony's would probably be the closest. I have a pair of xm3's but these are known to have a bug/glitch on the right cup that comes and goes. Mine have it and the leather is peeling off the cushions so I might need to replace them soon.

For open backs I'd recommended something like the Sennheiser 6xx or hifiman 4xx. I have both and they're amazing. The 6xx is great for when you want to hear the artist pluck each string, they're warm and the sound feels like it's surrounding you. The 4xx are much better suited for electronic or stuff with synthesizers. They're my favorite pair of the 3 I got.
