A biopic sorta series about a guy named Donny who gets stalked after serving some tea for free to a woman named Martha. The whole ordeal fleshes out his trauma and shame and how relationships between stalkers and their victims can turn out.

Apparently the actor for Donny is the creator of the show and the show itself is about what really happened to him.

Acting was marvelous all around tbh and was an interesting watch

Indeed

What I really like about the show though is that despite the uncomfortably of it all (episode 4 holy shit), it doesn't try to paint the stalker as this irredeemable monster. It recognizes that she's mentally ill and gives her several glances as to why she is the way she is. And it coming straight from the guy who lived the whole ordeal is very impactful and insightful from him.

it's an interesting subject matter but it's very uncomfortable to watch. specially when you reach episode 4. like goddamn dude!

some of the scenes from that episode are still imprinted in my head! wtf! O_o

The second that character was introduced I had a teeny bit suspicion. Then when he was labeled as pansexual Buddhist whatever whatever and the drugs were introduced I was like "oh fuck he's gonna take advantage of Donny".

that break down in episode 6 was fucking brutal!

and that finale. wtf...

overall, i still enjoyed it, specially for the acting and writing! gonna be a bit hard to come back to it due to how uncomfortable this was tho.

The writer has had to ask people to stop trying to guess the real life identities of the characters. (No chance they'll listen, of course).

I also find it a testament that the show is making us so uncomfortable but like...it's literally the dudes life and shames and soul and he was willing to relive it and share it with us.

I'm watching through it. Finished episode 3 and will likely watch 4 some time this week. Very creepy show. It gives me an uneasy feeling similar to when I watched the Dahmer series. Just unsettling.

Ugh, just saw episode 4 and I'm pissed off now. Not only by the contents of the episode, but also because of its message. What Donny went through was brutal and tragic, but once again gay people are painted as "groomers." It's a true story which makes it even more upsetting. I feel sorry for what happened to Donny and hope that racist POS Darrien gets his karma.
