I actually liked the movie, but there's two scenes so incredibly violent/graphic involving children it was very off-putting.

Great story and atmosphere though. Anyone else watched it?

One of the greatest modern horror movies I've seen in a long time. The only thing keeping it from a perfect score in my view was some of the main character's choices in the final act. Otherwise I loved it from top to bottom, crazy ass gore and all

A person of taste.

And yeah agree 100% on the choices.

Yeah, the dog part was pretty unexpected.

That whole scene had me on the edge of my seat. Like you knew it was coming, but holy SHIT did they drag it on and on to suspenseful perfection

I loved the lore of the movie. Demons being haywire nuclear reactors was a fantastic pitch, but I was shocked when the brothers went from the opening act -- pensive, intelligent, wary -- to complete bumbling morons who failed upwards towards the end. I have read a theory that the MC was so stupid, in fact, that it was intentional -- the demon guiding him towards all the wrong decisions.

The Dark and the Wicked was another almost fantastic one. Great vibe, acting, atmosphere and sense of dread but too much mustard on the hotdog for key scenes. The fuzzy demon man pulling an Insidious around the frames was very silly, and ending on an actual jumpscare cold cut-blackout sucked. Another example I could give is the best scene in the movie, the Priest reappearing at night to come outside. Made my skin crawl until the goofy-ass closeup of his face.
