Hasn't Ilhan Omar sent someone to pick her daughter up already? I hope nothing bad happens to this girl.

It's appalling that they were suspended for just protesting for Palestine.

Can't Omar afford to put her in a hotel and send her food money until the suspension's over? Google says she may be worth $83 million and makes over $300k per year so..

I mean yeah that's what happens when you break a law. If the goal of your protest is to disrupt for visibility then if you aren't getting arrested it isn't working.

Obviously but I don't know who she thinks she's fooling with this hungry and homeless nonsense. Rich people's kids don't go hungry and homeless.

Maybe she is staying with a friend or family and is calling that homeless.

Nothing I've seen says she's worth that much, and definitely doesn't make that much.

She herself only has a net worth close to $3 million, and definitely doesn't make that much as a congress member.

We had so many people who were born female in our group that they didnt have enough space for us.

The NYPD is most likely separating their detainees by assigned sex at birth, not by gender.

If there are gender non-conforming people in the group, that'd be what would indicate such a statement.

If there were any trans women in the group of protestors, the would have been thrown in with the men.

This is wrong. You're depriving them from shelter and food they already paid for. Its ok to ban them from classes, though.

Anyway, the fact that Ms. Hirsi is not destitute on the street isn't the point here. The point is that she engaged in a non-violent protest, exercising her First Amendment rights, and was suspended for it alongside 100 other students. She does not have access to classes, her on-campus housing, or her on-campus dining plan.

She's probably fine, but what of the dozens of others involved in the protest?
