Wherein, you post music that makes you feel something.

But, hark! There are rules!

The Rules
Because, in this day and age, we are All About Very Strict Rules on this, our gamefaqs.gamespot.com

  1. You must post the artist and the song/piece title in your post.
  2. You must post what it makes you feel, or a little anecdote associated with the song and a corresponding feeling. Don't be glib, be honest. Wax lyrical if you want, this is a safe space. Personally, I'll be posting songs that are like little core samples of my very being, at different points of my life.
  3. I will also listen, and comment on what said song or piece of music makes me feel too.
  4. Others are encouraged to join in, but please, be polite and do not in any way behave in a toxic manner, or in anyway interpretable as you being a Bad Faith User.
  5. Seriously, we're a dying breed, here. Let's be lovely to each other.
  6. Nothing over 8 mins long, please, my attention span can't take it.
  7. Not everything that everyone posts will be your Cup Of Tea, please be supportive and appreciate that they appreciate it.

Grinspoon - Chemical Heart

Even if this song wasn't originally intended for it, this song just makes me think of unrequited love. I remember when this song first came out, I was massively, horribly and unutterably unrequitedly in love with a guy in some of my classes in Year 12. He was funny, he was glib, he was quick, he was cute. He was absolutely hetero only. Whoops. Also, because I had it on a loop at the time, it also always reminds me of playing Alien Vs. Predator 2.

Nirvana - Come as You Are
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vabnZ9-ex7o

This song is probably the soundtrack to the worst moment of my life *to date*. This is what I was listening to in the car before I visited my dad for the last time in palliative care. I was (thankfully) there when he went. There is another song I could post with its associations, but nope.

Origami Angel - Find Your Throne

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=GhpiViOK80c

It makes me cry when I scream it in my car. Dunno why. Probably because it was the first album I listened to alone after my grandfather passed and it just hit me directly in the feels so now it's stuck. The album itself is a concept album with this being basically the climax song. I can listen to the entire album, sing every song, never have an issue. This song comes on and I'm done like dinner.

Thank you for sharing that with us, Im not normally a pop-punk oriented person but I really enjoyed listening to this song.

I can absolutely understand why it would hit you directly in the feels in a time like that.

This song seems purpose written for steering people through shitty times. Thank you once again. Ive added it to my noice playlist and I hope it helps someone else, too.

Agalloch - "A Desolation Song"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7K4NLWQphQ

For such a depressing song, it's a song that actually makes me feel better. The music is just so chill, but it gets kinda upbeat for a bit, too, but the lyrics and general vibe of this band are always very depressing. Also, I'm a big fan of the drank, which is a big part of this song.

Agalloch are great. I was introduced to them by a girl who was trying to court me. I didnt realise until a friend pointed it out. I was already with someone at the time, and steadfast, but that didnt stop me from appreciating the introduction.

Yeah, Agalloch is fantasic. Glad I got to see them live before they split. My favorite song off Against the Grain is actually Falling Snow. The main riff in that song is just so fun to listen to.
