My inability to change my car's oil is WAY down on the list of reasons why no woman could ever want me

I'm not a motor head and I suck with my hands so that's not going to work.

I can change my own oil, I just don't fucking want to.

I can do it. I choose not to though.

I can kinda sorta perform basic maintenance on a specific aircraft so I should be able to do stuff on cars too. Just give me a chance!!!!!

My issue is fucking around with car jacks.

Ive never done anything to my car. Not even change the wiper fluid. Id like to learn but why should I?

My father was a aircraft and car mechanic. He taught us to repair cars all before we left our teenage years. I sadly never did a full engine breakdown like my sister and brother did. My first car didn't have big issues before I left home. I sold it when I moved for a better one. Over the years changing oil down to a science. The rule is have everything prepared. The tools, the replacement filter, the right wrench, the drain pan, the oil all within arms reach. No having to get up and down. Lucky all my vehicles were high off the ground no need for ramps

plus then you have to dispose of the oil yourself too, no thanks

I used to do all my car maintenance on my own when I was a broke college student. I hate it and now pay others to do it.

But I will still change my tire to a spare in an emergency or do very simple stuff like changing light bulbs or air filters

I'm a California certified ASE master tech so I'm good.

If I'm dating a mechanic and he ain't taking care of my car for me, then I ain't dating him anymore.
