I'm not a big fan of it or use it often.
But it's definitely fucked up its getting banned. To me it seems like an infringement on free speech, and it was also a useful tool to see what was actually happening in the world. I think they wanted to control the narrative on the palastinian situation, and tik tok wasn't letting them do that. Granted there is a year leeway before the ban goes into effect but I think that was an extremely large driver in getting it banned.
