Games like Halo, Rainbow Six Vegas 1 and 2, and movies like The Matrix and The Dark Knight Rises would easily fit in the 15+ rating.

As someone from The UK I have always though that the US ratings systems were absolute garbage.

Here in The United Kingdom the BBFC (British Board Of Film Classification) have the following ratings for movies:

U = Universal suitable for all
P.G = Parental Guidance children can watch with parents
12 = Only suitable for children 12 years old and over
12A = Children 12 years old and over only permitted with an adult present
15 = 15 years and over only permitted
18 = Adults only

P.E.G.I (Pan-European Game Information) have the following for video games:

3 years old and up
7 years old and up
12 years old and up
16 years old and up
18 years old and up

So with that I really do think that the US could do with a 15 rating for video games and movies.

It's 2 years from the T rating and 2 years from the M.

At that point it might as well just have the age written on it like they do for toys.
