I really think underneath all those technical issues it's a damn fine game

I really think underneath all those technical issues it's a damn fine game Yeah, definitely. Don't get me wrong, the technical issues absolutely exist, and they're frustrating, because you know the game can be so much better. But also, despite those issues... I enjoyed the absolute fuck out of them. I legitimately think they're great games, despite it. --- Seplito Nash, Smelling Like the Vault since 1996 Step FOUR! Get Paid! ... Copied to Clipboard!

Yeah, definitely.Scar/Vio is the first mainline Pokemon since Silver that really caught that early magic for me. It's a fucking shame it's such a technical disasterpiece cuz it could've been fucking brilliant. Arceus came along at such an inopportune time, too, cuz it dangled all these sweet sweet treats that just got ignored. --- five, five, five, jack -five nobs ... Copied to Clipboard!

You're not wrong, but also, I do get why Arceus ran better. It was basically a tech demo turned into a game, and it uses "zones," whereas Scarlet/Violet are legitimately open world for the entire game. Unfortunately, it ended up being to Scarlet/Violet's detriment, from a technical standpoint, since it caused them to have a myriad of technical issues. --- Seplito Nash, Smelling Like the Vault since 1996 Step FOUR! Man, if they fixed the performance issues, the game would be so good. That ending is real real dark. Well Area Zero ending that is.

It's not even just Area Zero. The Gym Leader story is your traditional non-offensive Pokemon story, but both the Team Star and Arven stories hit rather hard, atleast when compared to other Pokemon games.

I still need to get the DLC, but the main game storylines were actually really good. I'm playing the DLC as we speak, and if you like the storyline structure from the main games, it feels like you'll like the DLC. So far, atleast, anyway. There's a legitimate storyline, there, and it connects between the two DLCs. The first DLC, which could basically be played at any time, kinda ends in a "To be continued," that continues on in the second DLC, which you can only play after you beat the main game and the first DLC. And it even acknowledges a bit of a time skip, but more or less picks up where you left off, with certain characters. I'm really enjoying it. --- Seplito Nash, Smelling Like the Vault since 1996 Step FOUR! Get Paid! ... Copied to Clipboard!
