I can buy the rate is increasing too since teachers today seem to be younger. All you need to teach is a college degree in some places and occasionally special training / certification. With women graduating college at a higher rate, it makes sense that over time the trend towards educators will shift to having more women. Assuming the number of rapists remains proportional, there will be an actual increase of incidents along with victims being taken more seriously.

Of course I wish I couldve banged the hot teacher when I was in high school, but now in my 30s I more think about the teacher and what kind of person it means they are and what their mental state is.
