Dawn and War are some of the best movies to come out the last decade, Rise is still great too but just not on the same level as Dawn and War.

This new one has a new director behind it, so I'm lowering my expectations as I don't think it will be as good as the last two, but I'll still give it a chance. Cautiously optimistic for sure, as I love the visual style of the reboot series a lot.

I'm excited about it. The reboot trilogy has been great. Rise was low-key the best film to come out that year.

This might seem silly but I saw that film opening night, and the theater I was in a good 90% of the theater stood up clapping and cheering when the credits rolled. I have honestly never seen that before or since. Damn good film.

The reboot series has been surprisingly consistent in quality and all have great critic scores. A very rare thing in this day and age. Trailers for the new look good as well so here's hoping they dont break the streak.

First one is a classic. The sequels are eh. The reboot films since 2011 have all been great. It's smarter sci-fi/adventure than you would think.

I kinda see the reboot series as an alternate universe to the original series.

I will definitely see the new one in theaters.

Yeah I do remember reading about that. His track record so far is The Maze Runner trilogy, which makes me feel very ehhh on how hell do with both this new Apes movie and now Zelda.

Still its only been 3 movies all from one franchise (a YA novel series too so you can only do so much with those), so well see how he does with these other more beloved franchises.

Ive somehow never seen the 2nd or 3rd in the reboot series even though I loved Rise so much that I saw it like four times in theaters lol

Still one of my favorite theater experiences was when Caesar yelled NO. Whole theater was chuckling at the line right before it and then went completely silent in shock.

This is such a weird franchise. There have been ten movies over 60 years and no one gives a shit about any of them. Apart from the goofy costumes and big twist of the original they have had no lasting memory, and no one can even remember what they're called because of the terrible naming convention.

I didnt care for the third one as much though it is objectively a good film. But you should definitely watch the 2nd one at least. Ive watched Rise a bunch of times too and its a great follow-up to it.

Yeah, the way they set that up was perfect. One of my favorite moments in a film ever as well.
