Statistically speaking, town wins games where Lopen dies early. Exhibit A: Chang Taunts Lopen Mafia. Exhibit B: Simpsons Mafia. Exhibit C: Toy Story Mafia. I rest my case.

Surprisingly, I can't make a good read on Ben. You'd think by now I'd be able to tell if he's town, but I'm inclined to agree with Lopen that it wouldn't surprise me if this is scum Ben. Very weak town clearing vibes from a player notorious for his town clearing prowess. I also don't think his suspicion cast on SBell was very strong. T'was very meek, which isn't very Ben-like.

Did you think Blade's suspicion cast was strong? My first post was an announcement that I dont feel like I need to go very hard when Blade is going so hard

Everyone dogpiling on you for breathing on Day 1 is nothing new. I don't know why you're singling out my post out for not taking a side on a dispute that I quite frankly find frivolous.

I already compared Blade to Lopen, and I think I've made it pretty clear what my opinion on Lopen generally is lol
So I can't really take Blade seriously when he goes all-in on thinking that you're scum just off of a few posts.

Maybe it's just because I had to convince him not to try to lynch the confirmed Mason, but knightz feels more coherent to me so far.

From a flavor perspective I'm not crazy about that description of Luis Guzman, but I did ask him for his own words -_-

Let the record show that i am dissatisfied with taco's answer to my question but do not think he is scummy for it alone. Just need him to stop tunneling on knightz since there's gonna be more than one scum this game, regardless of Knightz's alignment. But it is interesting that he picked those two.

I probably decide more day 1 lynches than anyone in this game. That's why I have a rep for being wrong-- hard to get that rep if you don't push lynches

Interesting, I thought this Ben felt a LOT like Ben from the second half of last game, which is when he started to win me over. It feels so tonally similar that I could still see him as scum, but only as scum doing a GOOD imitation of his town play, and not a poor one.

Could you articulate what about Ben from the second half of the last game won you over, exactly?

Ben was an open and shut town case for me in Day 1 of last game. What changed between the start of last game and the halfway point that convinced you that Ben was town?

I'm struggling to see the similarities between last game's Ben and this game's Ben.

If the flavor is legit then he WOULD be vanilla imo. I don't see why Guzman would be anything special, but I'm not fully satisfied with the explanation of why. The only point in knightz's favor is that even though he claimed immediately last game it was like pulling teeth to find out details. Until the very end of game we thought he was an inventor with real powers and benefits rather than a pointless self confirmation role. He also didn't get the name of his role exactly right until much later.

But I've never had to navigate GameFAQs from a Kindle as my primary way to access the boards, so maybe it's not like he can just go back and forth between tabs

What do you mean why have an opinion on him? The only opinion I have of Blade is that he feels like another Lopen. But I've played long enough with Lopen to know whether his prattle is a town tell for him or not. But Blade? I'm not so sure if my comparison to Lopen is even accurate and whether the same town tells I find in Lopen can also apply to Blade.

Ulti is most likely town. He said he doesnt know the flavor, but hes clearly engaged in the game and seems energized. This means he likes his role. Not vanilla. He would need to like the flavor to get pumped up like this while vanilla.

Ben's solving just didn't click with me at all last have until day 3 and 4. He was in my POE so maybe it had more to do with my perception, but something about day 3 felt more focused that I was much more willing to believe he was town. His posts applying pressure feel more like day 3/4 than 1/2, at least that's how I feel right now. That's why I thought it was interesting that your take was the exact opposite.

I was thinking the same thing. Didn't want to say it out loud, though, but well now the cat is out of the bag.

I'm leaning town power for Ulti right now. Could be scum, but I don't think Ulti doesn't call this much attention to himself right out of the gate if he's scum.
