All I have are running and dress shoes, I'm looking for something in between that matches as many clothing colors as possible

If not, here's three different vibes you could go with:

Casual/slightly dressy boots:

• common projects (expensive, but check em out and if you like them can recommend some cheaper alternatives

It is summer time so work some brown shoes + same color belt with light blue slacks and a white-ish button-up with the arms rolled up. Or something like that to get you started.

Anyone who uses shoes to determine whether or not to go out with you isnt worth the effort of dating tbh. If anything if I were rich Id be wanting to wear shite shoes to weed out the gold diggers from people I actually want to date.

You dont need designer shoes to go in public or on dates, but you should probably be conscious enough not to wear ratty sneakers if youre trying to make a good impression on a first date.

also suggesting sambas, they're a classic for a reason. kinda pricey now, so if you want a similar shoe puma super liga og retro is a similar fit/style.
I have a pair of sambas in black with the big tongue and also puma super liga in white and they're great for anything casual to "casual but a bit more put together"

if you get sambas and the arch support is uncomfortable, you can remove the insole and then take out the arch support foam.

I think this topic is a good indicator of the age of the people responding. People who want a meaningful relationship vs people who just want to get laid \ have a bit of fun.

I swear jeans and cargo shorts a lot, not sure what kind of shorts are in style these days. A lot of t shirts

get youse a gotdamned pair'a converse

ditch the shorts. go with a pair of dark denim, slim fit tapered. get a nice belt, nothing too flashy with logos or branding or anything though like Gucci. combine these with the Chelsea boots, and have the belt and boots be the same color. t-shirts are fine, but screen tees shouldn't be your go-to. plain t-shirts are seen as a bit less kiddy. even better would be a polo or a Henley. make it long sleeve and roll up the sleeve to just under your elbows, and wear a watch. this will accentuate your forearms. forearms in rolled up sleeves are very sexy to a lot of women for some reason. i don't get it personally, but it's a thing.

For the price of converses nowadays you can spend 20 dollars more and get a really good shoes

I like to wear canvas sneakers like Polo's and Adidas with jeans and a button up shirt. It's casual while still looking nice

While Sambas are God's Own Sneaker, there are several Samba-adjacent Adidas that can be a little dressier. Look for subdued color combos of Busenitz, for example.

Probably, but that depends on what they look like. Definitely only wear cargo shorts around the house or for yard work.
