Yes, I don't do that much. But I also make significantly less than people who have been with the company longer so I can do what they do for less. However, that would suck. Id rather just get laid off.

I'm like 85% recession proof. Things would have to get really bad before they started hacking and slashing my area.

I am on SSDi and applied for SSI few days ago

plus never had a permanent job before so thats not a problem for recession or firings/lay offs

i do have a good name in a company around here and seasonal labor is as easy as saying Ill work this summer

and finally applied for SSDi for my brother, who is severe FAS. He will definitely lend me some money sometimes as he has no children plus we look after each other

I don't think so.

I work for a global company and I am one of the most productive people in my department. Easily. I was hired in 2019. When Covid hit, I was also job-safe too because I work remote.

I think the biggest threat to me would be anything AI. But as for now, I work with sensitive information, so I don't think they'd want to really automate my position due to potential hacking or other sensitivities with just allowing the systems to be run by computers. On top of that, my CEO is a guy who has always been here for us workers. He's even had a one-on-one with me once before and it was a great chat.

But who knows. Companies sell off sometimes and things nosedive. I just hope that never happens. I love my company.
