I don't hate them, but they're pretty meh.

I really had fun with the first but the second and third were pretty awful.

This, I absolutely loved Jurrasic World. Then they followed it up with two incredibly horrible movies.

the second one was definitely better than the first Jurassic World movie. But lets be honest the new trilogy was nothing compared to the original.

I hate how they said the OG T Rex was moved to the new park and lazily excused this because they had similar scars.

I hate everything about Chris Pratt and his hand stance fending off the raptors.

None of the movies feel anything even close to the original three movies, even as controversial as JP3 was.

I mean you do realize Jurassic World was set in the same Island as the original Jurassic Park hence why the T-Rex was the same one?

I realize that. I also realize the World franchise just lazily wanted something to help ease the older fans into the newer, shittier movies.

Finally seeing what the park would be like when it's operational.

Not even a zoomer I just recognizes the movies for what they are after the second movie and partially in the first movie.

Have you read the Crichton books?

Nope and I am sure they present more thought provoking stuff. It doesnt change the fact that a movie is fundamentally different from a book in terms of what it presents to the audience.

Just one, and its even worse.

The first one worked because it was, literally, what the creators of Jurassic Park envisioned achieving, in the first place, and it basically served as an example... Even if you think literally everything has gone right, it can STILL go wrong.

Pretty much this though in this case it was a two part problem mainly from InGen fucking around and finding out with its stupid military plans but also the one part that didnt make sense was the idea of people being bored of Dinosaurs or having to create hybrids to fill a niche

I guess this is true but at least it had something beyond the action (like the moral stuff you mention) which I don't remember seeing much of in world. But also I just sort of think an invisible megasmart t-rex-like creature is just sort of silly. It felt to me like they just sorta wanted to ramp up the power levels involved in all possible directions at once but the end result is sort of bizarre

I liked them for the same reason I like the fast & furious movies. They're popcorn flicks.

To be fair, the latter makes sense if you assume that, in the Jurassic Park/World universe, Jurassic World/Park/whatever has been famous for so long without incident that... People are actually getting bored of it. And, to be fair, that's logical, in universe, since... It's not like a theme park where you can just create faster, better rollercoasters. They quite literally try to apply that logic, by creating more interesting dinosaurs, and it just... obviously backfires.

That's the part where you can't look for in universe reasoning. That whole plot is just a big meta joke. They were trying to get a new Jurassic Park off the ground for years but the executives kept shooting it down because they didn't think anyone wanted to see a rinky dink dinosaur movie. At one point they got really far pitching an idea for dinosaur human hybrid soldiers. So this is just a big punchline about how the Suits don't think motherfucking dinosaurs are magical enough for people, and I think it's hilarious.
