Suit's good, but the promo photo is kind of awful.

Yeah not sure why people think the photo's bad at all. All heroes gotta put on their boots one at a time, just like the rest of us. Then they go save the world.

I feel like the whole vibe of the picture is just "another day, another dollar". The fact that the suit is folding and loose is part of WHY it's good, the people saying it looks "cheap" are missing the poor.

I have to imagine Gunn's main goal is to push hard back against the martyr/Jesus persona of Zach Snyder and Jason Aaron Superman. The seemingly enormous cast of cameo superheroes in it would support that. I have a lot of faith.

Not blind faith, though. It's so easy to mess up Superman. Even in the comics, we've had some excellent runs recently, but there was a random 3 month period where Action Comics was just dreadful for a Bizarro storyline. You can never take good Superman writing for granted.

It makes me think that now every time Clark speeds off to save the day, he's quickly going back to his bedroom to change clothes before heading to his destination.

James Gunn sounds like he actually loves and respects the Superman character so that shouldnt be a problem

This is my main issue yeah

I would not worry too much that a studio head who put Plastic Man, Booster Gold, The Authority, and Creature Commandos on the docket isn't going to get it.

This movie is going to have Metamorpho and Mister Terrific in it. We're one Red Tornado away from a mid 2000s DC Comics renaissance.

Bring back Snyder!

Yeah gotta say that promo photo doesn't do much for me. Definitely agree that it feels weird and cynical on top of really dumb that he's clearly not in any rush to save the city that's actively getting destroyed by what appears to be Vegeta behind him.

It's probably happening at super speed! Even if he's changing in less than 1 seconds, he still has to go through the process, the boots don't teleport on.
