Okay hear me out

  1. The Flash could run to anywhere on the Earth, making for a VERY open world game
  2. Numerous abilities that allow for a robust combat system
  3. I just want to fight a goon, use some sort of slowdown type of mechanic so I can put the goon in front of a moving car, and then go back to normal speed before they even know what hit em.

A game about the flash but you don't actually play as the flash would be funny

The issue with Flash as a concept is that, outside of Time Distortion powers, any Flash that's even remotely well written is practically invincible.

If they made a game I'd be stoked but I don't think they will.

Flash has the same problem as a Superman game: How do you make it fun? Imagine if, in a Spider-Man game, instead of all the cool tricks you did for travel, you just flew. It is instantly a worse game.

I think the only way to really make a Flash game work is as sort of big time attack, but how do you control the scale at which you can move without sacrificing the sense of speed? Remember, for The Flash, it just seems like everything else is slow. Bullet time whenever you want is going to be cool for the first 20 minutes, and eyerolling beyond that.

More abstract depictions of speed could work, but it'd be a more abstract game. Kinda like how he controls in Injustice, where he has what is mechanically a teleport, but it's depicted as him running around the world to the other side of the screen. But then, it feels off, aesthetically, when anyone without some level of superspeed even touches him. All his villains are the trap-laying, distraction types (unless they just drain his speed or whatever). You could work with that, make it a sort of time attack puzzle game, but that would turn a lot of people off who just think of unga bunga go fast.
