In WotL Agrias is better. You get to use all of Orlandu's best skills by using Holy Knight / Dark Knight and then you also get access to female only equipment.

I'd argue even Meliadoul is better.

Citen from Xenogears is pretty OP. Equip him some speed items and he'll go 2-3 turns before anyone else. His damage output is comparable to Fei's and he is a healing machine. His Gear is also stable to use.

No. He is just the most well known/popular in PS1 SRPGs. He is quite reasonable compared to many other alternatives.

Tir McDohl, the MC from Suikoden 1, is pretty OP himself. Combine him with his teacher Kai and their unite attack and the rest of the game is pretty much a braindead cake walk.
