Depending on the budget, even selling millions of copies can still put you in the red. Speculation are just that, speculations. With that said, for a triple A game like Stellar Blade...you don't really hear a whole lot about it other than the "controversies", but never about the actual game itself. The boards that I do visit that do talk about this game (if the conversation ever shows up) are even calling the game from good to mid, with many people calling it the poor mans "Sekiro" or "Nier Automata".
