Mostly because early on in my career I was told "You don't get awards for doing your job" when we were all busting our ass going above and beyond doing extra shit and working overtime in order to not just make mission happen but to make life easier for the people we were supporting. But the same mother fucker that had that attitude would give people awards for pulling string and going boom, literally their fucking job. I'm not salty. --- The name is wackyteen for a reason. In my current job, as an example, I'm one of only two people in the company that does my exact job - and the other guy isn't usually even awake, let alone ready to work each morning, despite him starting his shift at the same time as me. Like, I don't need a plaque or something telling me I'm employee of the month, but I'd like to get something out of it, otherwise, I might as well just start being late and never doing my job. --- "To be, or not to be - there is no such question.
