I randomly looked up when Cyber Eden comes out and it's next Friday. Then I realized it's almost the end of July already.

Oh yeah I don't think I even mentioned it but I got back into Digimon this year because I decided to watch Ghost Game on a whim(I loved it). Right now I'm finally getting around to playing Survive(was hyped for it for years but then the wait/delays kinda deflated my hype), and then I'm gonna go back to Cyber Sleuth right before Time Strangers hopefully. I stopped watching Digimon shows after the 4th one, so maybe I'll go and watch one of the others. Oh but I did watch the Tri movies as they were releasing. I watched Kizuna for the first time this year, so just one more movie from the Adventure/02 continuity and I'm done there.

Finally got to the episode I was most looking forward to watching, where Kuzuhamon: Miko Mode shows up and it just happened to be the episode where Gammamon mega digivolves.

I really like this episode. I rewatched that part quite a bit because I like Makuake, the fight has some of the nicer animation, and just his first time digivolving was great. I really like the part where he ascends to the sky and then he parts almost all the clouds in the sky, so the episode goes from completely cloudy to the weird green sky. That and the shot where he looks like a star from Hiro's perspective on the ground.

Oh yeah, that Siriusmon debut battle is sirius-ly all around awesome.

What did you think of the main 3 Digimon in Ghost Game? And are you looking forward to BeatBreak? I really wanted to love Survive but I couldn't get into it. I needed more action. Cyber Sleuth is great though, I finally beat it for the first time this year after three or four failed attempts.

All three were pretty enjoyable. I was surprised at how big Angoramon looked(who knew he'd just be fluffy lmao), and Gammamon might be my favorite on their own even though I like Jellymon a lot because of her dynamic with Kiyoshiro. I am looking forward to Beatbreak but I don't know if I'll watch it while it's airing. It would be cool to watch a Digimon show as it's going for what might be the first time in my life? Or at least I think the first 4 Digimon shows were on a delay for when we got them in America.

I just beat Survive tonight and damn was it intense and violent. The SRPG aspect is pretty damn easy which is a bit of a shame. Like at best it's an interactive Digimon show with a monster collection/SRPG minigame interrupting the cutscenes/exploration.

Crunchyroll is pretty inconsistent about what they grab these days now that bigger names are grabbing up anime. I could see this popping up on Disney+ though if it fails to land CR. Disney had everything up through Xros Wars I think (though I think they called it Fusions instead)

Still looking forward to Time Stranger, need to find time to wrap up Tamers and start Ghost Game >.>

Finally got around to pre-ordering Time Stranger. (And Silent Hill f...that was not a nice thing to do to my wallet). October is gonna be great this year. >_>

I'm desperately trying to resist buying the new Digimon Pendulums. The new mons look amazing but they're so expensive lol.

Steam tells me I have 48 hours in the game, and I avoided Free Battles since I didn't want to grind(I did do all the battles that popped up in Exploration mode though). Beating the game gave like an extra Free Battle difficulty with higher level Digimon(since levels carry over and I don't believe the main game gets any harder on NG+), or at least I didn't notice a new difficulty.

I'm not a big fan of the Pendulum tamagotchi games, just not my type of game, but it sure nice to see it still exist to this day, even more with a lot of new Digimon coming out of it.

That's a good amount of hours. Cyber Sleuth took me 80 or so but I grinded a lot toward the end, plus I went AFK a few times while waiting out the training mode.

That is a great episode. The ending always gets me

Man the episode after was kind of brutal. Just to make sure they drive home exactly what happened they have leftevor data of Doberman say goodbye to Alice. Then later on they do it again as they show Alice leaving the battlefield. For a character duo who are only there for like 5 minutes total they really want you understand she sacrificed everything just so the heroes could fight.

Oh cool is it August 1st in Japan then? I remember I was waiting for this after seeing the 3 new silhouettes earlier in the week. Turns out the guy who didn't have his Digimon with him was in fact older than the rest of the cast. Also damn I'm really liking the partners. Not sure if Gekkomon is my favorite still. This'll be the first time I'm watching a Digimon as it's airing since Frontier aired on US television.

The NA Dub used to do similar. They'd usually have a show's narrator be done by the VA for one of the prior seasons and they would also have cameos in the terms of voices as well.

Man, I love Data Squad / Savers. I finished Tamers (I might do more elaborate thoughts on it later, but the short version is it's still great...even if the early 2000s animation has not aged super well in places) and my wife said she wants to do "All the good Digimon...in production order". So that means I need to take her through Adventure 01, 02, Frontier, Savers, probably skip Xros Wars and its follow up and maybe Applimon too and do Ghost Game / Beat Break.

I have and it's pretty good for a fanmade free phone game. I got Kabuterimon.

I sure hope they do a PC client for Alysion soon after release. My phone is pretty uhhh not up to date, to the poing where I'm wondering if I can even run it. Not to mention I don't have much storage to begin with.

If you can't play Pocket and Alysion has a similar pack opening mechanic then I would imagine Alysion wouldn't be allowed either. Though I'm sure there's ways around regional blocks using VPNs or something similar.

Now that Alysion beta is out, some news came out of it, mainly, a couple new Digimon.

I've said it before but its very annoying being a Digimon fan in Europe. Sure, I could probably import most things if I looked hard enough... but I'd be paying double almost with shipping and VAT added on.

At least we're getting the games again.

It sounds like an interesting game from what I've seen

I never noticed that Arukenimon's human disguises all share some features. I mean I didn't trust her in Ghost Game or the most recent Digimon game I played, but I feel dumb for not noticing.

So it seems GlobalComix accidentally released the next Liberator chapter earlier than it should, and essentially leaked a new Ultra level Digimon called Magneticdramon, and the machine side Mega for Maquinamon, whose name is currently unknown.

I've seen the trailer, and it does show a lot. In particular people are noticing someone that could be a younger Mirei from CS or something else that resemble a younger version of her.

Also Titamon riding on a SkullBaluchimon looks absolutely badass.

I'm so excited for Time Stranger. Just a little over a month left for me to beat my current run of Cyber Sleuth(and Silksong <_<).

Started a playthrough of Cyber Sleuth. And damn. The translation is really stiff. Digimon as a brand was in a very different place 10 years ago, so I understand how something like localization efforts probably just couldn't afford the budget, but it really shows when characters just reference events that straight up haven't happened. A lot of the story presentation suffers as well. You can tell the writing team is really trying in some of the scenes, but then the cutscene won't really land because it's just two dolls staring at each other lifelessly.

I did like one of the side quests having an explicitly nonbinary character. As someone whose friends have had awful experiences with TSA because their body scanners don't account for trans people who or may not have some the bits and bobs the machine expects... It hit a little close to home. The character is a villainous hacker who was forced into choosing a defined gender for their account. They didn't like this and decided to rebel, at first just hacking their own account to mod their avatar, and then later running dating scams and catfishing people. It's uh, not exactly "woke" I guess you could say, but it's a believable way to write a trans villain that doesn't seem to make them being trans the punchline of a cruel joke the way most other stories involving trans villains do. Like honestly? Justifiable crashout.

In a game where so far the average quest has been. "This digimon is making things cold. Why? Because it's an ice type. Kill it." it was refreshing to have a quest that, even for like two lines of dialogue, had some nuance to it. From what I hear the game is very very slow to dole out the story, and that once it does get rolling it's very good, but yeah. For now that's been a highlight.

I'll probably play Hacker's Memory after this if I have time.
