Hiring the coach who got fired because they thought he didn't win enough with the talent they had.

both the bucks and the suns are just pretty lacking talent-wise. they're old and depleted of assets. coaching isn't the issue there anymore but it's obviously easier to change coaches than to recognize that there's no clear path to contention anymore. (with the caveat that bucks have more of a realistic path because giannis is still giannis and the east is so weak)

Thunder offense has fallen apart over the last two games at the worst times, SGA taking some bad shots.

Also struggling any time Chet isnt on the court, which is why everyone wanted us to trade for a backup big. If we lose this series fans arent going to want to hear about how were built for the future, this year might be our best chance.

Either way if we start shooting better we still have a good chance

Thunder fans who think this forget that they weren't even supposed to be this good this year. There's no reason to think this at all, the Thunder have plenty more playoffs in them. You have J Williamses on rookie deals, chet on a rookie deal, hayward coming off the books, tons of picks...it's not like they're currently in the conf finals choking away the opportunity of a lifetime or something.

Just chill, thunder fans. You're never guaranteed a title but you're arguably the team best positioned to contend for one for the next decade. It'll be okay. 0 reason to be doom and gloom about possibly going out in the 2nd rd the first year in what should be a wide-open window. Plus, if it's a backup big you want, let me tell you about the draft this year.

As a Wolves fan it sort of pains me to have to see all these guys who for the entire year just kept saying that we'd fall off later in the year and that us being #1 in the West wasn't a mark of success. Now the playoffs get here and prior to game 3, there were tons of videos about the Wolves sweeping the series, being the championship favorites (SAS among those that predicted a title for us). It's like just irritating to watch the team dismissed all year, then recognized, then we get blown out.

I hope the team is avoiding the internet.

I think Thunder fans more than anyone else have reason to be skeptical of the "don't worry you guys will be back" argument

Pretty good outcome for the Spurs. I'm unconfident enough in the Raptors for the next couple years that I'm glad the pick went ahead and conveyed.

Would've been nice to pick ahead of the Wizards, since I think there might be some overlap between the players they're looking at, but I'm not as worried about the Hawks or Rockets from that perspective. Happy with it.

French interest in basketball is spiking lately, so sorta interested to know if it's going to be more than just Wembenyama and Gobert going forward as good players repping the country.

They basically lost 2 coin flips that were ever so slightly in their favor. The 5th pick was their most likely individual draft position at 47.9%, hardly shocking that they ended up in their most likely position

Sarr and risachier I think could both go top 5. Sarr is mostly pegged as a guy who can guard all 5 positions, with an outside chance that his shot develops and turns him into a stud. He's also a pretty good ball handler, I've heard he plays more like a wing than a big.

Sarr is going in the top 3 for sure and I'll be shocked if Risacher falls past 5.

Sarr was p much the most likely #1, but now I'm not so sure. I think with ATL already having okongwu and trae they could go risachier. If that happens I expect Sarr at 2 and Topic at 3

You think the Rockets would want Topic? I like him a lot, but that's a weird fit with their core, I think.

I think vanvleet is getting older, is overpaid, and isn't under contract for but 2 more seasons. It would be a great time to groom the PG heir imo.
