Even if they did not add the new campaign, this is looking like it would still be worth the full retail price just as a port. They fixed everything as far as I can tell, every little issue the game had. Stuff that you wouldn't have been even to name as an issue if pressed, they still fixed it.

And of course it DOES have an entirely new game worth of campaign content in it.....really just floored. Still hurts to have put 70 hours into what was essentially a beta on the Switch, but even in a year overflowing with jRPGs this still just seems insane.

Skyview sounds pretty interesting.

I love the fast travel rails, because nothing was more frustrating in this game that isn't a platformer than trying to line up a jump, fail, and then spend more time trying to get back.

They took some cues from Yakuza about map layout and sorting icons. Between that, quest markers, and level requirements, it'll sure as hell help. Speaking of the map, not being tied to defeating Abscesses to see the fucking thing is a godsend.

All in all, I am impressed with this setup. I was going to play OG again, but waiting it out for this will end up making for a much better experience.

Yeah I'm feeling pretty burned because I didn't expect a mainline SMT game to get the Persona Remake treatment. But it looks great and it's good more people can experience an actually good version of the game. And I of course am still picking it up, this just falls into wait a few months for a sale territory.
