My friend got it and said that it's fun at first. But the gameplay becomes very repetitive, very fast.

It's exactly as good as you'd expect a game that spent 10 years in development to be, really.

Aside from being buggy, it also has no on foot combat. "Boarding" enemy ships is a cutscene.
