To be fair to this specific incident, she claimed that the text of the books never specified Hermione's race. And fans had to dig deep for some random passage that wasn't even about her race, but described her face as "very white" to indicate shock. >_>

So she was trying to make the point you mentioned, and she was largely correct, but did it in the most awkward way possible to a fanbase of obssesives who *would* go out of their way to find the smallest clue that disproved her.

Whole thing was kinda funny. And it didn't matter because Cursed Child sucked donkey balls >_>

You also shouldnt be spreading that kind of harmful misinformation unless youre showing how its wrong or an example of it being false.

It has no real evidence to back it up, and as an explanation for her transphobia it makes no sense because she hates trans men too.

I brought up Harry facing discrimination a couple pages back, but it was a lazy post that has been misinterpreted because of that laziness. I'd like to correct that.

Harry was treated awfully by the Dursleys based purely on what he was, rather than any actions of his. Dudley eventually warmed up to him, but Harry never reconciled with the others. His life turned around once he learned the truth about who he was and found other people that accepted him, as well as being able to move out of his abusive household. The only way he could spend time with them after going to Hogwarts was by passing as normal, but even that was pretty unpleasant.

If I changed the names, that would be a biography of many of my queer friends. That is the sort of thing I had in mind when I said Harry faced bigotry. To go from depicting that fairly accurately to being so transphobic that you're willing to bat for literal Nazis is one hell of a villain arc.

This doesn't say anything about the other problematic stuff in the books, like Harry literally getting a slave through inheritance and seeing no problems with keeping him.
