So no, it's not healthy to obsess over politics. It's fine to be informed of serious events happening daily, no doubt, but in the end I'm still doing my own thing despite them. I've lived through a bunch of presidents and life has not really changed for me when we get different presidents. The only thing I do regarding politics is pretend to be a hardcore liberal around my conservative friends just to piss them off and get a rise out of them lol. Doesn't help most people I run in to have no fucking idea what's happening here(America) politically and are perfectly content to ignore everything. Right now we're basically cruising back to the industrial era. No abortions, child labor, propaganda at every fucking turn, and rampant ignorance. I understand it is a VERY selfish way of looking at things, but I know my bills are paid, my kids get fed and clothed, my roof dont leak. I vote for EVERYTHING. Local elections, school budgets, mayor, president. I know nothing I say to people with opposing views will change their minds, just like nothing they say will change mine.
