Politics is a LOT more contentious than it was 10 years ago.

I like to read history and politics of the past. You would be surprised at how little has changed.

Above all things, never be afraid. The enemy who forces you to retreat is himself afraid of you at that very moment.

Extremely, yes. Been trying not to pay too much attention to it the last few months. Until that talking orangutan came along I was blissfully apolitical.

There are some policies these days that I am vehemently against, but I still lose no sleep over them. I just vote, hope for the best, and move on. So no, it's not healthy to obsess over politics. It's fine to be informed of serious events happening daily, no doubt, but in the end I'm still doing my own thing despite them.

Anyway, soon this country will rectify itself. All it needs is some time and a bit of proper guidance.

Yeah, I'm assuming his policies he is "vehemently against" is stuff that will help Americans and/or isn't attacking marginalized groups.

I know people personally who are extremely into politics and I really have no interest at all. I heard about the Trump trial but tbh I have no idea what it's about and honestly I don't care. Same goes for whatever people are looking for on Biden's Son's laptop. Don't know, don't care. I've lived through a bunch of presidents and life has not really changed for me when we get different presidents.

The only thing I do regarding politics is pretend to be a hardcore liberal around my conservative friends just to piss them off and get a rise out of them lol. It's funny how easy it is to set people off regarding politics.

Watching Americans try to destroy their own country while actively embracing propaganda designed to get them to do that is certainly something. If I lived there I would probably be upset a lot for sure.

I dont want to stand on a soapbox, but id genuinely recommend reading up about the two sides of this election. Read about the conservative project 2025 and it may just motivate you.

You must be a straight, white, christian male then. Because for anybody else, republicans and their project 2025 should alarm you and what it could mean for your life going forward.

The world is moving too fast for politics these days, so I kinda gave up. Fuck, politicians only recently began to understand the Internet. Doesn't help most people I run in to have no fucking idea what's happening here(America) politically and are perfectly content to ignore everything. Right now we're basically cruising back to the industrial era.

No abortions, child labor, propaganda at every fucking turn, and rampant ignorance. I have my opinions but I never really talk about them these days because it's really just not worth it.

I used to. It used to get me pretty heated.

But now I just focus on what I can control. I understand it is a VERY selfish way of looking at things, but I know my bills are paid, my kids get fed and clothed, my roof dont leak.

I vote for EVERYTHING. Local elections, school budgets, mayor, president.

I know nothing I say to people with opposing views will change their minds, just like nothing they say will change mine. So I let them be idiots, think what they want, and only sweat what I can control.

Even for straight, white, Christian, males the conservative playbook and policies is abhorrent. Anyone that still thinks politics does not play a role in their life is straight up ignorant
