Do you truly believe they Israel can kill every member of Hamas? Didn't we see in Iraq, Vietnam, Afghanistan, civil war, and every other major conflict, that you can never truly eradicate an enemy. It's 2024 and there's still literal living nazi's and those that they've indoctrinated over the generations since WW2 ended, same for confederacy sympathizers still flying the flag through the capitol on 1/6.

If the end game is getting the hostages released, why didn't Netanyahu accept the hostage releases on October 9th (or 10th, whenever), when Hamas offered to give them back? Or the various ceasefires that have been discussed. Israel has been very open about not ending the war even if the hostages are released, so what reason would Hamas release them? What do they have to gain?

So since it seems that releasing the hostages won't stop the war and it's nearly impossible to kill every member of a group or organization who's numbers were estimated to be at or around 40k pre war, what exactly is the goal?

I doubt you'll get an honest answer. They know they can't say what they really think.

I don't think that many Israeli defenders exist on this board. A lot of them initially supported Israel and pulled back when things escalated

There were a few like that, and a much more significant amount who no longer have access to CE, usually directly for vile statements they've made in support of Israel.

I wish that was the case but there are a good number here (or were idk if they've been purged or not)

i'm sure part of it is to prevent another first strike on them ever again and it seems like every dead palestinian is considered a net positive towards that goal

The idea is to control the resources right? Wasn't that the end game in all those places tc named and was actually successful?

I don't have an opinion either way but isn't that the purpose of all war?

It was pre-exCElusion so technically he could ask to be let back in. Doubt he'd last long though.

They've been controlling the resources since like 2006 or something. Maybe 2010.
