For the record that was the dub where Tien's arm can grow back, destroyed helicopters had plenty of parachutes, and people killed were simply "sent to another dimension."

In terms of censorship, the original Funimation dub that was funded by Saban and used the Ocean cast is just as bad as 4Kids.

In terms of voice acting, Ocean is much better.

The Ocean cast later returned for the Westwood dub that covered the Android/Cell and Boo arcs. Aired in Canada and the UK from 2000-2003.

Initially, most of the cast was phoning it in upon coming back (save for Brian Drummond and Scott McNeil who still did good jobs as Vegeta and Piccolo) but toward the end of the Boo arc, they did better jobs overall. Even new music started being made for the show; before they were just recycling music from Megaman lol

The most egregious has to be Vegeta creating the fake moon so he could transform...but goes on some spiel about Goku's father being a scientist and the one who created the ki energy in a lab.

All because they weren't comfortable with the possibility of ki being spiritual, so they shoehorned a scientific explanation into it.

Vegeta sounds okay, but I don't like the ocean dub Piccolo. I'm too used to Piccolo's deep voice from the Funimation dub.
