RetuenOfDevsman 05/16/24 10:05:22 AM #5:	For the first film, I gotta go with Han. Most of the characters' personalities change drastically in ESB, and Vader begins totally stealing the show. But in ANH, he's really a pretty generic badguy who just happens to look/sound cool and have superpowers. Like, he straight up throws a tantrum in the intro. ANH Han is totally the confident doofus trope, and the intentionally awkward dialog and fun action scenes the guy has as a result are some of the highlights of the film. Meanwhile, he's also a total sleezeball who manages to have just as satisfying a character development arc as Luke does. --- There's a difference between canon and not-stupid. <cite>RetuenOfDevsman posted [p:980419242] in Favorite c... Even if this wasn't the film where he was st his best (that being Empire), he commanded the scenes he was in, with the exception maybe being Tarkin ordering Alderaan's destruction. But even with that scene in mind, it makes me appreciate when Vader wasn't put on the pedestal he was after the original trilogy.
