In any case, I'm content to let the day end early and lynch Ben.

Yeah we're not getting a new day up in 7 hours most likely anyway, but no reason to have this run for 48.

Well, while we're here, let's discuss the NK last night.

Does it make sense for IGCD to be scum?
Does it make sense for Blade to be Doctor?
Does it make sense for scum to NK deliberately?

The only players left unscanned so far are me, FD, Chang, and IGCD. I assume scum will have a Godfather of some sort, so Ctes and Blade can also be in the PoE is we think there's two scum remaining.

Obviously, if Ulti dies at any point in the game, we lynch the fuck out of Blade. There is absolutely zero reason to not protect Ulti when there are unscanned players left in the game and scum can't immediately kill the Cop.

My read on the game?

FD as scum doesn't let me, Ulti, or Blade live this long, unless he's truly gone off the deep end with two scummates dead.

If Chang is scum, we might as well quit because scum mayor is just utterly unfair on top of an EK.

I think I've made my case for why I'm not scum.

Leaving IGCD as the best scan for tonight. But if he scans innocent, we're in trouble.

As for Ctes and Blade, it would not surprise me at all if either was the Godfather. Both have roles that are "confirmable", but both have convenient excuses to hide behind for their lack of true confirmation.

And then if Ben flips third-party, the chances of Ulti being scum Cop are absurdly low, barring weird mechanics that none of us could reasonably expect.

Doesn't count as an EK if he isn't allowed to use it to kill town. Which was a restriction the last time scum lawyer was used.

Anyways I'm going to be busy with work until deadline so idk what more I'll even get out of today. My opinion on the remaining scum(s) are pretty set for the moment.

It's not our fault some combination of kill prevent and/or choosing not to kill has resulted in 3 nights with no kills

I think if he's town then mathematically Ctes can actually wager a vote tonight. It's probably still too low % to be worth doing, but if we assume no kill gets prevented we'll be on 6 tomorrow so going down to 5 votes means scum still can't outvote town.

The starburns flavor is still all wrong so I'm not sure even a double vote will convince me he's not bad, but it's better than nothing.

Kirby or Chang pls put day out of it's misery, we're clearly stalled and as much as I love digging through old topics to find hidden morsels I really don't want to atm lol

You are Ben Chang, 4th Alignment Changvivor.

You start out as the schools, lets say quirky, Spanish teacher, and frankly you havent been well utilized since. Sometimes an antagonist, sometimes a friend, sometimes a truly insane mental patient who only speaks in Chang puns.

At night, you may attempt to target a player. If successful, they will join your Discord to chat at night. This neighbour chat lasts one night and they will be removed at the start of the next day. They will only see their night channel. You cannot target the same person consecutively.

Before the night starts, you may choose a taboo word. It must be at least six letters long, not a name, and not a common mafia term. If your neighbour says that word three times, you will scan innocent and be bulletproof until the start of the next night phase. For example, beetlejuice beetlejuice beetlejuice.

If you do not use this ability, you may instead attempt to target a player at night. If successful, you will roleblock them and perform their night action yourself. Example, you would scan their target and get their result, or you would perform scums night kill instead.

You win whenever Town, Mafia, or a 3rd Party achieves their win condition.

In the distance, a child was singing softly.

The man who could never die had died. What had once been considered an example of outrageous propaganda had, in fact, been true the entire time. The sky had become permanently dark, the Greendale sundial was useless, and owls deafened everyone with their incessant hooting. The starless void where the sky once was an eerie reminder that all the KFC astronauts were almost certainly dead now. Jesus wept. This was the end of the world.

"I can't help but feel I'm going to be blamed for this," Lea said fretfully as she peered out the window of her office turned mafia war fortress turned apocalypse bunker.

"Nah you're doing fine lol this is fine," Sultan reassured her, his loyalty to the mad archchancellor as steadfast as it was baffling.

"I guess. I just feel bad for all the werewolves without a moon, the astrologers without any stars, and all life without the sun."

"Ah well what can you do lol."

Outside, a series of lights appeared in the void. The surviving students tended to not draw so much attention to themselves lest they wind up the latest corpse in the heap. Quite a puzzler. The bursar and the archchancellor shrugged at each other, clueless. They thought this was supposed to be a goofy sitcom, and were unsure why there were evil multiverse shenanigans and magical apocalypses or some shit.

"ATTENTION, GREENDALE. THIS IS THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION. WE ARE HERE WITH DEAN SPREK OF CITY COLLEGE. I thought with the extra player last night that I would bet my life. Remove myself as a mislynch option. That would end the game with 6 players left but not as an extra kill. Thst would give town another chance. I bet on no kill naturally. Because in that case, even if I was right, I could shoot the next most likely mislynch option and town would have a chance to make things right. It was a good plan, I stand by that.

What happened? I was roleblocked. No bet was allowed made. I can vote but at what cost. The player who said they would give me a chance to prove myself, but not on the night where it made the most sense.

When I wrote all those end game thoughts yesterday it was truly because I thought I could not say them today. I planned this at the time, but the one thing that could prevent both my death and a shot happened.

Well that was anticlimactic.

Ulti, a "Chang is scum* scan, I presume? Chang being afraid of you explains night 6.

The funny option we could do today is just keep No Lynching until Ulti has scanned everybody in the game. It would be agonizing for our hosts and spectators alike, but it'd technically be optimal.

And there's no question today that Ulti is town, yes? Ben flipped guilty exactly as Ulti said, and without being affiliated with the Mafia, too. If Ulti is somehow scum, then this game state was never winnable to begin with.

So that leaves IGCD, Chang, and FD among the unscanned. One of them is bound to scan guilty.
