If you take the save point, you get an IRL "save point" right where you are now. You can save at it any time you want, but you can't move it. You can only reload a save once ever, though. You can reload anytime you want, and you auto reload if you die.

Butterfly effect applies, so it's very unlikely events will play out the same way after you reload. You do retain memories from before you reloaded.

Money is untaxed Canadian dollars.

The numbers will likely be different the second time around though. You could use it to get a free extra chance but that's about it.

Save point isnt worth it if it can only be used once AND things play out differently

I'll take the money. The save point would only help me if it would get me more money.

I don't think I can see much value in a one-time return to the place and time I'm at right now. Really, the main issue is that butterfly effect clause. If you can't rely on what you learn being useful, then all you could really use this for is doing some really dumb stuff that'd get you in a lot of trouble and then getting out of the consequences. That doesn't sound like it's worth more than five million to me~

You could possibly use it to take a big chance on a risky investment, or try something dangerous but fun. Or just as a failsafe if you're paranoid.

Why? Nothing I do after reloading is going to effect the lottery drawing. Butterfly effect isn't going to reach that far in that short of a time, and into a closed system.

Money.

I'd have taken the save point if I could have retroactively placed it 25 years ago, but as it stands I'm 35 and my life isn't likely gonna improve significantly if I get a chance to do it again from here.

Edit, especially if I'm giving up 5 mill

Just admit you don't actually know how the "butterfly effect" works.

I put save point, but when you put butterfly effect, I regret it now. That can turn massively turn things for the worse..But getting to live another life sounds cool..If only the save point was earlier in my life.

TC literally said you could save before a risky investment. Reload if you dump your savings in doge coin fail. Rinse and repeat for every penny stock or whatever. If you do this doubling enough times you'll easily over take 5 million. The save point is pretty op.

Here's an example.

At 9AM Save and then you invest life savings in dumbass stock.
9:01AM dumbass stock doubles. Great sell and make a new save point.
9:02AM invest life savings in dumbass stock.
9:03AM Dumbass stock crashes. Reload to 9:02AM.
9:02AM Save and then invest life savings into DIFFERENT dumbass stock.

Continue doing this until you have over 5 million dollars.

You can only load once. So if your gamble goes wrong you can undo it, but that's it.

What?

Just use the save point before a lotto drawing. Butterfly effect wont impact that so quickly.

So the save point can only fully be used once essentially? The only point of a save point is to be able to reload.

That is not even worth 5, certainly not worth $5 Canadian.

Euro millions lottery is currently at 26 million (after taxes) and that's not even a big jackpot.

So, yeah, as long as you can tell me how me getting a different ticket is supposed to change the outcome of the lottery, I take the save point.

And no, "It just does because butterfly effect!" isn't enough for me
