You can save at it any time you want, but you can't move it. You can only reload a save once ever, though. You can reload anytime you want, and you auto reload if you die. Butterfly effect applies, so it's very unlikely events will play out the same way after you reload. You do retain memories from before you reloaded. If you can't rely on what you learn being useful, then all you could really use this for is doing some really dumb stuff that'd get you in a lot of trouble and then getting out of the consequences.
