Did you see any noticeable differences? Does your area even have hard water?

Man, they're kinda pricy. Had someone come and give us a quote. Like 3k for a softener+ reverse osmosis system.

Everyone has hard water. We had this shit in the 90s.

Create the problem, sell the solution!

This includes ethanol mixed gas.

We got ethanol cleaning solution now. and "detergent" gas for diesel.

Also BTW ya'll, does DRANO and and that other shit work the pipes?

[LFAQs-redacted-quote]

We had someone from eco water (they got me outside of home Depot and asked if I wanted a quote) come and give us a quote of like 7.5k a few months back.

This from a different company is 3k for the system, but we don't have a water loop, so there's some labor that will be involved to locate it where it makes sense. That will cost an additional 2,400 ( )

I grew up on Long Island. The water there was amazing. I don't drink anything but bottled or filtered water after moving to CA

I heard CA has terrible water. 'Twas my dad said on his later vacations.

It's hard but better than Roswell.

My grandfather spent a lot of time trying to figure out why his ice maker was making cloudy, dusty ice before realizing that the water was cloudy and dusty.

Lol, I don't think most people have softeners. I didn't even know about them until like 4 years ago

My first one was $400 in the mid 90's. It had a bit more cost because it was a new install and needed new pipes. Second one I replaced in 2010 and was $600. I looked at a new one just in case I needed to replace it in 2020 and it was $850. I didn't need to because of I sold the farm in late 2020. I figure I would have had to about now

Water is 112 ppm here, which apparently isn't too bad. I'm fine with it

It seems there's a big price difference between the type you would buy at a store, and the types recommended by installers/American made

in my area basically every home has one. Theyre pretty much a necessity to protect your appliances
