I started thinking about whether I was asexual in high school, but when I mentioned it to a friend she mocked me and shut me down, so I stopped thinking about it until a few years ago. I am now fairly certain that I am asexual, but sometimes I still question it a bit.

From what I can remember, no, not at all.

When I was younger I thought I might be bisexual. Then I realized Im just a straight guy who cares about his appearance and has no issues acknowledging how handsome other men can be.

I was brought up southern Baptist, too, so any characteristics that werent blatantly toxic masculinity was met with ridicule and other forms of bullying. Some more severe than others.

Nope. 100% straight. I can look at other dudes and see why people might find them attractive, but thus far I've never seen a dude that I myself find attractive.

And sometimes I feel like that's a shame because I've had more gay dudes take an interest in me than women over the years and if sexuality actually was a choice I'd choose to be bi or maybe even just go full gay. I can't imagine my romantic life would possibly be even more miserable than it is now.

Nope. I've always been secure about my sexuality. I can admit when a dude is hot without questioning that I'm hetero.

My gender when I was a child. I wanted to be my mom so bad. Id make up scenarios in my head about a genderswapped version of me and play out certain events. Also I wanted my mom's attention so bad all the time. I used to get jealous when she gave my dad attention lmao. I was so weird.

IDR when I became content with being a guy it was before middleschool though

I'm still not sure about my sexuality. Kinda too shy to pursue same sex for sexual stuff. I got pretty close twice but just backed out last minute for one and the other scenario I really was too drunk at the time (to consent) so someone stepped in to stop it.

Questioned? Not really. It all just kind of clicked and felt right when I posited for like five seconds if I was some form of ace and nb.

Around eleven or so I decided I wanted to be a girl.

Even since then, I've noticed a blistering jealousy when I saw young girls in public and had to keep my emotions in check when I do.

I also have a family who the most part refuse to acknowledge my dysphoria, even when I had a panic attack because of it. Only my dad really does and the rest think I'm stressing myself out for "no reason".

*sigh* Talking about this used to be cathartic, but my current situation with nothing being done just reminds me of my woes once again.

I'm technically non-binary(?) or gender fluid(?) from what I've read, but I outwardly and publicly identify as male. If I had total privacy at home, I'd probably dress and such as female more than male if not always. It's complicated and I don't really know where I stand in all of this.

I questioned my sexuality around age 12-ish when I thought my friend/neighbor was cute plus other things. Took a while to really accept my bi/pan-sexuality given the time period and where I live. Still in the closet, but I'm happy with myself regarding that.

I've always known my gender for sure. Never been a question, but I'm lucky in the sense my gender is reflected in society and my reproductive organs.

My sexuality, I've always enjoyed physical contact. Men, women, didn't matter. I'm a hugger and sometimes it made me wonder because lots of people conflate physical contact with a sexual attraction. I also appreciate male bodies that look good. Like, the aesthetic of a male body.

I do not want to have a sexual experience with a man though. That thought doesn't excite me. It doesn't repulse me or anything like that, I just don't get aroused by men. So I'm straight. *shrug*

Never questioned my gender, but I don't know what to call my sexuality anymore. One of my partners came out as a trans man while we were dating a few years ago. When he finally transitioned, we broke up amicably since neither of us thought it would work out. But we got back together earlier this year to see if it could work, since we've still got a strong bond. I'm very open-minded with sex and have tried lots of experimental stuff over the years with many diverse partners, but this current relationship is a mind-fuck in so many ways. It has basically destroyed all the conventional categorization systems for sexuality in my mind. Even a catch-all term like pansexual seems inadequate.

Yes, I wasn't sure for years if I was straight or gay because neither option didn't feel right, and neither did bi. It was actually Bojack Horseman that helped me realize that asexuality is a thing and that I'm ace.

Way back when "is being gay a choice??" was the cultural zeitgeist, I tried deeding to gay porn and it hurt my brain, like physically felt like some kind of friction burn in my skull, and I couldn't get an erection for most of the week after. A painful experiment, but it answered that question for me, and gave me sympathy for the movement.

Its actually common for trans women to not realize they have gender dysphoria or to believe its not that bad before transitioning, due to trauma associated with depersonalization and repression.
