Yeah, I noticed this on my Spotify downloaded playlist as well. It seems to heavily promote some artists more (eg. Miike Snow - my conspiracy theory is that Spotify is more biased towards Swedish artists lol), and it might have some location-based algos as well (it seemed to play Southern-based artists/songs when I was in Georgia).
