When I want a burger, I make a burger What you describe while not my particular choice of condiments? It sounds good, it's minimalist. There's a reason why whenever there's a taste test for some non-meat patties the burgers are absolutely loaded with a ton of toppings and condiments. It is purely to mask the taste so it's harder to distinguish between real beef and whatever the imitation is. The more minimalist the burger the more the taste of the patty takes the stage. Now, if I'm going to eat a veggie burger of some kind? Those patties tend to lack flavour and thus I will absolutely use sauces and veggies to improve the burger. If I have a nice quality ground beef patty though? Minimalist is the way to go. Why pay for the beef if you don't want to taste the beef?
