Why even eat a burger at that point? You're just covering up the taste of the meat. You might as well eat a veggie burger at that point, it'll taste roughly the same.

Pickles is the only one that's required. Everything else is just a luxury if the place has it.

if it's from a decent restaurant, then I don't mind veggies on mine, but if it's from somewhere like McDonald's, then nah.

Plain. Meat, cheese, and bun is all that should be on a cheeseburger. If I want lettuce, I'll eat a salad.

If you're insane with the definition of veggie then it's only lettuce and onion on the chopping block.

My friend gets his plain and dry. "I could never" is too strong of a statement because I have, however that's only cause I'm too lazy to put them on myself when homemade as it's not that big of a deal to me. If a restaurant's burger already comes with them, that's fine with me minus tomatoes (I hate that they fall out and I either have to keep putting them back in or just eat tomato slices on the side) and pickles (I just don't like what it adds to burgers or sandwiches).

I put salted tomato on mine. Lettuce too but only if there is vinegar on the lettuce.

I usually have mine with veggies. Occasionally not, depends on my mood.

When ordering the only thing I oot out of is onions, but if I'm making them myself I'll usually only put a little mayo and maybe ketchup on.

I'm down with onions and pickles, but don't need other veggie toppings.

I only ask for no lettuce cause it takes away too much from all the other flavors

Cheeseburger, no salad no sauce. If the burger is lacking, it's because the meat itself is crap and you should get your burgers from somewhere else.

Pickles are a must on any burger.

Burgers are better without salad. Salads are also better without meat.

Yes. Ive ordered my burgers plain with cheese since I was a kid. A properly seasoned properly cooked burger with American or Cheddar and a good bun (Im partial to brioche) is delicious as is. Though a couple strips of bacon folded in half is good on there sometimes.

For half pound thick burgers, I dont know how people can take a hit with all that stuff on it without mashing the shit out of it anyway.
