If he wanted to, could he have have made the mouth move when he talked?

I'd say yes, but only if the mouth was actually capable of moving. Was it ever shown to actually be two pieces, or was it just one piece with the design of a mouth on it?

It was just one piece with a mouth design on it. Al only had control over the parts that could move or be removed.

It looks like his mouth has a hinge to me tbh

But he does just take the whole thing off whenever he wants to show he's empty, so I guess it doesn't move.

Yeah, it does look like it has several hinges and joints but the general design of where they are don't look like they could approximate the appearance of speech.

Didn't think this would be about the mouth was ready to come in and ask if ya watched the whole cause as well as he fights he's got damn good control.
