In the first two movies were great! NWH doesnt count because it has all the best Spidey movie villains.
As a big Spider-Man fan when I was a kid, I never really felt that Vulture and Mysterio were serious villains. The casting totally changed my mind. Michael Keaton and Jake Gyllenhaal are fantastic in their respective roles.
If Sony wants to merge Venom (like was teased in the post credits of LtbC) they better step their game up.
Thoughts?

Vulture was an anti hero not a villain.

Just trying to feed his family and Tony Stark uses his connections to shut him down.

Really he just did the same thing Tony did and built a suit in his garage.

Built a suit in his garage to commit crimes

Hell judging by the fact that Toomes' reaction to getting alien technology was to use it to commit crimes basically tells you Tony was right in wanting to control which hands it fell into.

The villains really do carry their weight in every Holland spider movie. Gyllenhaals Mysterio is what made the second movie for me. Absolutely incredible performance.

Thats the one Im rewatching now. My mans come a long way from Donnie Darko. Between his acting and the call back to the Iron Man movies (some may call it fanfare) I thought was a fantastic way to tie it all together.

It does when it's coming from that character, since she showed she didn't actually care

And that's why the argument about Toomes being an anti-hero falls short. He chose to react to the situation by doing bad things, just like Christine chose to react by compromising her own morals because she wanted to fuck Tony Stark. When you choose those kinds of actions, you get judged accordingly. Toomes chose to be a villain.

The point is that Toomes was literally cleaning up New York after the Avengers trashed it.

And when Tony unilaterally decided alien tech couldnt be in anyones hands but his he put all of them out of work.

Tony Stark created the Vulture.

Tony Stark "created" the Vulture only if you believe that it's Tony Stark's fault that, once met with adversity, Toomes chose to be a villain. And if you believe that, it undermines his entire character arc, since by the end he realizes just how wrong he actually was.

Tony Stark quite literally created Ultron, but Vulture created Vulture.

It's like people arguing Killmonger was right.

No, he explicitly wanted to use Wakandan technology to violently colonize other countries. Just because European countries did that to Africa doesn't mean it was right.

Plot twist the green goblin isn't real. Don't tell Peter

Also Spiderman was originally supposed to get doc ock's arms, wings, etc, and be more of an inventor

So it's an ode to that

Telling a 15 year old kid he would kill him + everyone he loves for "getting in his way" makes him a villain.
