People often assume Im 10-15 years younger than my actual age when they first see me. Im 35 so it is partially a positive (not looking like a worn out ghoul) but it can also be a negative in professional settings since some people are less likely to listen to someone they think is young regardless of the content of what the person is saying. Ive been called mature for my age once lmao.

Older. As a graduate student, my professors were getting carded at bars when I was not.

Older. I'm 33 but I've got greys in my hair and beard.

Younger. Most of my coworkers are in their early 20s and they think I'm about 24. I'm 35. But my hair has been slowly graying over the past few years and I'm guessing it's going to speed up.

i'm 38; if i shave i still get carded. and new co-workers are always surprised to find out i'm actually older than they are.

I started my current job when I was 30. One of the students working there part time asked me what school I go to. I still get ID'd sometimes (usual policy here is ID if you look under 25; legal age for all restricted products is 18 at the highest) when buying vapes or alcohol too.

What's kinda funny is that around that time, if I asked people how old I looked, most common answer was 19. Which was also the most common answer I got to the same question when I was 12.

I get both. It's hard to know if people are patronising you when they say you look younger.

Everyone assumes I'm close to their age unless they're much older. So a 25 year old will think I'm late 20s and a 50 year old will think I'm late 40s

Definitely younger. I am 47 but pass for 37.

Younger. 46 but no gray hair and only a couple fine lines in the corners of my eyes (no other wrinkles). Thank my super oily skin for that.

Much younger. 47 with full head of gray hair, yet people still think I'm mid-30s.

Older, always have. In high school, the other guys on the football team would ask me to buy em beer because they figured I was the one guy who wouldn't get carded, but I was always too afraid to try.

I get shocked expressions every time people at work learn that I'm 35.

when I turned 21 I went to buy a light alcoholic lemonade from the grocery with a friend. Cashier chill man said "sorry had to double check ur ID. you look like you're 12!" I took that as a compliment, because I'd rather look much younger than older ^_^

im 31 but clerks still make a whole thing out of it when i buy booze and they see my ID, so i guess i look young

I looked younger for my age until I hit early 30's, now I'm 35 and look my age. It's kind of fascinating how downhill I started to go physically when I hit my 30's.

Younger. 39 but most people assume mid-upper 20s. Probably a combination of still having a full head of (relatively gray-less) hair, no wrinkles, and keeping in good shape.

I'm sure it will be nice when I'm 60, but currently as someone in a leadership role at work it's frustrating when people assume I'm a recent grad.

Im in my late 20s and can easily pass as a high schooler, so younger. If I keep eating well and take care of my skin maybe I can retain this, I feel it will be beneficial in my 30s

never gives me problems with people I work (directly) with for any extended duration, but don't get respect from any boss types and face an uphill battle with anyone just coming in
