I am pretty sure Jack is not THAT old after the time jump. Heck he probably isn't even 50 yet.

But yeah, he basically starts hanging out with a former cultist/assassin of Aku's who is his daughter or something. And she is definitely a full generation younger than he is (she was probably born within a few years of the original series ending point, when Jack himself is likely still in his early 20s, and was raised by a cult of Aku).

the time skip is 50 years after the original series this is flat out stated

and jack was 20 when first sent to the future and several years pass over the course of the original series

so yes jack is over 70

I'm kinda confused because I swear the show foreshadowed repeatedly that Jack ends up defeating Aku and going back to the past at some point once he "earned" it.

Him being 70 and still in Aku's hell future just seems to make foreshadowing random.

they retconed that

now jack DOES still go back to the past but it has nothing to do with the method set up

and with how season 5s plot is structured it kinda ruins the message it had set up that jack had to let go of the past

that combined with its more mature story telling and the constant call backs to the countless lives jack saved

makes him going back in time feel wrong as it means every one was erased from existence cus 10000s of years of history where undone

Maybe he did get into one of those time portals, but it just sent him further into the future? Would explain why apparently that much time passed but he looks nowhere NEAR 50 years older.

this is explained in the show the time portal aku used some how made it so jack does not age

Jack does not age in s5 he is trapped in time.

He is only with the girl briefly and iirc we are never given her age.

Literally normal rules don't apply here unless you wanna say a vampire or a superhero with longevity can never get with anyone either lmao what is "life experience" she's a trained warrior? They never said she doesn't have life experience.

Samurai jack is invited to the BBQ Regardlesss of season.

You dont suddenly become physically or mentally 70 years old just because someone opens a portal and transports you as you are into the future.
