Paper Mario - TTYD: Got to the last boss in the original and died. Didn't want to sit through what felt like 20 minutes of cut scenes to get to the boss again. Left it for a few weeks and just never got back round to it. Adding the ability to skip cutscenes in the remake is a god send. Ironically I actually beat the last boss first time!

Lost Odyssey: I actually got bored of this three times. Once the boss you have to fight after the crashed train section in the snow with just the kids. If you were like me you hated them and never levelled them up. I don't believe there was any chance to grind either and as you're stuck with mages and the boss was a magic one it was just awful.

I also got bored in the Ancient Ruins on disk four for some reason. No idea why but again I left that about a year before going back!

Finally the last dungeon there was a boss where you had multiple parties and had to kill it with both parties on the same turn. I found this really frustrating. Tried a few times and just never went back.

Many times, just get bored more than anything. When I was younger I HAD to finish the game. But now with time being a huge factor. If I lose interest that's what it is

I got to the last two dungeons in Darkest Dungeon. I loved that game and I didnt mean to quit, but it was so hard I wanted a short break, then I had to go on a work trip, and then a new game I really wanted to play came out (I think it was Horizon Zero Dawn?). By the time I got back in a space to play, I had forgotten everything I needed to know and knew I would get annihilated by the late levels. And I sure as hell wasnt starting over.

Not finishing Darkest Dungeon is my greatest gaming shame. I plan to pick up the sequel in July and finish it as my redemption arc!

I stop playing a game here and there that I dont like (time is valuable), but the only other game I can think of that I stopped playing right at the end was Fallout New Vegas. Great game, but I was so annoyed by the constant bugs that when I encountered yet another crash on the way to the final boss I just threw up my hands and stopped playing.

I initially stopped my first playthrough of Darkest Dungeon at the end. Not a clue why. About a year later I started a new file with the Crimson Court and finished.

I did this with BoTW - twice. Still never finished it.
Currently sitting at the end of ToTK.

I admire this. This is what I should have done. It is a great game and I should have finished it!

Yes in Star Ocean 4. I got to the last boss and couldn't do anything. I looked online and all the guides said that I was probably 10-20 levels below where I should have been and I just couldn't be bothered grinding long enough to beat a single boss so just watched the ending on youtube instead.

Occasionally I'll get the idea in my head that I want to replay Pokmon Emerald

only to drop the game near the end at the large ocean segment
