The power would basically make you like Shawn from The 4400. You could heal people, or drain their life force. Using your powers would take a lot of energy from you, so you can only heal a certain amount of people a day.

If I draw someone's life force, does it get added to my own?

I don't see much of one.

I choose healing powers easily. That is something money can't buy.
If someone has incurable illness, I can heal them. In theory I can extend people life span and heal old or injured tissue.

Ehh not really seeing it. At least not quickly. People could fund you, or you can sign on with some corporation that monetizes you, but that would basically make your their pawn. And it would still take time to get that kind of money.

I'll found a cult based around my healing and make money that way.

It'd take longer than instantly getting 320m, however I like the idea of helping/healing people more anyways and I'll be the most legit religious leader that ever existed, because I'll actually be worth worshipping for tangibly healing/helping others.

For clarity, I wouldn't want to charge the people I actually heal, that would be free, however I'd definitely make money with the ability.

Man, talk about a show criminally cut down too soon.

The ending of the last season was setting up what would have almost certainly been an amazing season.

Healing. Make it known there's a limit and where that limit is if I'm found out.

A lot of these questions were never really answered in the show, so I can't answer them.

The only person he ever completely drained was in the final season and we never found out the after effects of it. He also never had to try and heal himself, so I dunno.

You could probably get more than that to heal some old tycoon from a terminal illness.

The downside is if a lot of people know you'll likely get kidnapped or offed.

Not sure the extent I would be able to heal, but I'd rather be healthy than having money.

You're a auto-cancer curing machine. You don't think people would pay out the ass for your services? Of course the altruistic thing would be to just help people, but like I said if you were so inclined you could make absolute bank. Cure multiple cancer patients a day? Fixing blindness, missing limbs, horrific burns with a touch? A greedy person could exploit their way into being a millionaire in no time.

On top of that you can apparently be the ultimate stealth assassin, killing people with a touch. Meet a potential presidential candidate, shake their hand, bye-bye candidate. People would pay out the ass for that, too.

Obviously it doesn't have the instant gratification of hundreds of millions right then and there, but I'd say within a few years you could be within swinging distance if you put you mind to it, and a decade be beyond it.

Apparently he can cure broken bones and even cancer. Bestow upon me the healy powers comrade

Lol it's funny in that I almost made a comment saying, yes, like David Koresh, however I'm not going to preach any sort of religiosity, antigovernment sentiments, nobody would be forced to stay, no mandatory payments (though I would obviously highly encourage a patreon system so that I can dedicate my time to healing and not having to work for some capitalist dickhead) or any of the toxicity that comes with traditional cults.

I'm just going to be a dude that genuinely heals people, build a commune around those who love me for it, and ask them to keep me safe so I can keep doing my work.

Yes, he was able to help with continuous headaches. They'd still come back, but he was able to take it away.

A mountain of illegal cash that could get me in hot water, or a power that unambiguously improves the world around me and could get me a more modest (but still very plentiful) pile of legal cash... tough choice.

The hardest part realistically would be physically hiding it. You can pay for most things with cash, including bills, and as long as you have some form of legal income you can slowly use the illegal cash over time by mixing it in or on items/shopping that wouldn't bring scrutiny.

I thought it was going to be self healing, and take the money. But healing others would be wonderful. Id just have to start a DBA and call it Palms of Satan or something, just to piss of religious people. Or sell a bottle of purified water labeled Snake Oil, and only sell it to people Im going to heal, so it looks like the beverage I make is the cure.

Sure if you flaunt your power instead of keeping it relatively secret.

It's a bit awful but you would actually do best to use your powers specifically to heal the rich and powerful only. Don't let it become well known. People like Bill Gates or Jeff Bezos would have strong motivation to keep the secret because if you're found out you're going to disappear and they'll lose access.
