They are the indie and smaller budget AA games that tends to get ignored a lot by gaming journalists and most gamers nowadays. (Not trying to throw shade, its just these type of games genuinely are ignored and is barely noticed). Just last night my brother and I was chillin' playing some fight n' rage on the PS5 via shareplay (got to bust out shareplay for those games that doesn't have a native online play mode). No tutorials, no huge move-lists, just a beat'em up using 3 buttons and good music for a little over a hour. Answering the topic question, I just turned 40 earlier this year and imo video gaming is still as fun as ever. I don't play a lot of the bigger budget AAA games that is usually the flavor of the month type of games though (I loved me some FF7 rebirth, but I do understand those that have a difficult time putting a lot of hours into this since it really is a long game packed full of content) since just sticking to these really will cause burn-out from how samey these games can feel, but something like rise of the ronin, megaton musashi W: wired, and stellar blade has been great, and I'm looking forward to the upcoming earth defense force 6 releasing on the 25th is this month on the PS5.
