Would there even be enough interest in either Digimon or smartwatches in general to bother developing such an app in the first place?

they think there's enough interest in making pedometer bracelets with screens where doing physical activities increases your digmons stats and is how you raise it

smart watches are still bad. Convincing people that they need a smartwatch is a master class demonstration of how consumers can be manipulated. Paying an unnecessary amount of money just to be distracted more often? So silly.

Less convenient for telling time than a plain digital watch because it needs constant charging instead of the battery lasting ten years.

Worse at sending or receiving messages than as phone, which people will have with them 99% of the time anyway. Needs a data plan to be fully functional or function without your phone.

Then you get people who will 100% seriously say they need it to to know their heart rate and track their workouts, between mouthfulls of oreos and soda. Paragons of healthy lifestyles, to be sure, just because they bought at $300 accessory.

The only acceptable uses are medical condition monitoring, vibration alarms if you don't want to wake your partner, or music+GPS tracking without needing to take a cell phone. I would prefer if smaller phones were still a thing, then one could just use that more easily with an armband like we did with mp3 players.

i'm sure you can say that anything is useless if you completely dismiss everything they're used for

eating is less convenient than getting all your nutrients from an iv drip, therefore eating is useless and i don't know why anyone does it

I was gifted a really nice smartwatch for college graduation that unfortunately only lasted for like a year before the battery swelled and popped the display out

Yeah I really need to know what my heart rate is and how many steps I've taken. For some reason.

I wanted mine to watch youtube while working but it couldn't even manage that.
