Thing is, company policy allows me to have a beard now and as long as its at the proper measurements and is neat, then I'm allowed but she keeps pushing me and its annoying af.

Funny thing is that a few others have beards and she's not said one thing to them so I know she's harping on me for the same reasons she harps on me on everything else.

I'm not here to rant though but I tell her that the policy says I can and she says "I don't care". is there any kind of action she can take that forces me to lose my job or forces me to shave?

Report to HR.

I would talk to a lawyer for advice on this.

even if I do, they won't really do anything about it. People have reported her for some time for multiple things and then they come in and start asking questions(but not to everyone) and the people who answer all have the same agenda and come off as 'yes men'. I'm just saying, I plan to ignore her but I don't know if there's some loophole where I can still get affected. She's always harping on me for something and its annoying af. Recently has been terribly annoying and this happened Wednesday and I don't know if she's doing it to get me to break so I lose my temper or she just is in a bad mood and sees me as her whipping boy.

She wants to see what you look like without the beard so that she can measure you up and pounce.

Sounds like you're in a situation where you should be wanting to get fired or fucked with over it.

I've worked there for 12 years and didn't have a beard until recently because they finally caved and allowed us to have beards as long as we kept it short and trimmed. Its funny because guys from the graveyard shift had beards and didn't get in trouble but if I didn't shave I was getting yelled at and now that we can have them, she doesn't care if we can or not, I tell her we can now and she says she doesn't care which....I don't get it. Why do you care that I have a beard and don't care we can? What does she get out of it? Nothing except to be a bitch.

I have these 'arguments' in my head and one of them was to tell her she's jealous because she can't grow one.

but I know that'll just make things worse and will only affect me negatively.

I had no choice back then. Now its hard to find a job that I'm this good at and make a lot of money with little experience.

I'm a server. We weren't allowed to have facial hair in the front nor the kitchen. Then they lifted the ban a few years ago. Thing is, my boss didn't tell anyone and then I was told by another higher up.

It feels like some people get unfairly picked on. When I work I'm barely on my phone, at most I use it to just quickly check the time. But yet I get reprimanded for doing so when my co-workers spend several minutes at a time browsing on their phone.

Any kind of response would be considered an attitude and apparently I have one.

I don't really know why she dislikes me but when I'm talking she tells me to shut up and then when I'm not talking...she's once told me to shut up anyway....

She's your typical Louisiana ugly Trump supporting racist who has somehow gotten away with so much shit because some of her family works here and she's somehow been able to evade the higher ups who are probably on her side just to 'save the hassle'. Its the loosest thing ever...and I'm just waiting for her to finally quit...because when she's not there its very relaxing and positive...she's just all negative energy. She'll complain if we have orders and she's the type that if someone has an issue with another person, she'll go talk about it to that person and not 'try to fix it' but flare it up more.

Me and another server was into it and constantly at each other's throat and I'd tell my boss some of the things that she's doing that's causing issues and she'll go tell her and then vice versa...and then when it ended up with a huge altercation I got put on a different stupid shift because I didn't handle it better. Now that we get along, she doesn't like that though.

I checked my phone and I saw her walk past another of my coworker who was on their phone to yell at me and then I looked to my other side and saw her niece also on her phone...it was crazy. If I point it out though, suddenly I'm starting an argument and have to fix my attitude. Its great that she told me to get checked up because of my anger and now that I have a hold of my anger and anxiety, I suddenly have an attitude problem....

Yeah, there's definitely an attitude problem and it's not you. I hate bosses like that.

I wish reporting worked...I told one of the higher managers that she had been really mean lately(this was awhile back) and I mean like she was pissed off about something and took it out on me and I told the higher up to check on her to see how she's doing because I didn't want her to get in trouble, I just wanted to see if it was something that could be fixed...and you know, she went tell my boss and my boss started making comments about me being a tattletale. "Oh, don't be mean to him, he might tell on youuuu"

It really doesn't pay to talk to higher ups at all.
