Biden deserves it.

He was the most effective President in my lifetime, even more so than Obama. And he did it in one term, with a much more chaotic political landscape, without the power of all three congresses in his favor. Really hope the Democrats don't fuck this up.

Anyway we are very deservedly dunking on Wang but frankly his presence is pretty reassuring as if his lines of attack are the best the right has got, the Dems are in a very strong position indeed.

Don't know about that, I'm not that voter base either. They definitely have more specific ideas in mind, as opposed to general ideas of attacking her. Those will happen too but they'll get better over the next week or two.

Edit: to clarify, I'm still generally a moderate independent and I know attacks meant for 1, Independents, 2, moderates, and 3, those right of center. The attacks that rally Republicans ain't those I know well.

It did call him a rapist. It was the first word they used for him. It's also the first phrase she used against him in her speech today.

This is definitely the best angle and it makes me very bullish. Biden never pressed the rapist angle enough, probably since he was always a creep around women and especially young girls. The biggest advantage of a woman president is they actually care about rape, usually (*cough*Hillary*cough*)

Theyre attacking Kamalas laugh (who cares) and sleeping her way into jobs (also who cares given Trumps record).

Shes only polling down by 2, and with a couple debates she might be able to pull this off.

First one's ultimately part of a bigger one on her mannerisms, character, etc like was said already. Give it time and they'll have that message organized, that's definitely for independents across the spectrum. Latter I remember being a thing talked about years ago, same with her family being slave owners. Both those are odd ones and pretty terrible. Frankly they're better off dropping the whole "slept her way to the top" nonsense and keeping a vaguer DEI candidate kinda rhetoric. That's technically included but isn't necessarily so, you know, plausible deniability (e g., "she was chosen not voted") for more character attacks. Pretty sure they've started this already and it'll take over the uglier attacks to go from fringe MAGA supporters to a wider group of MAGA supporters. Dunno where it'd go from there but it feels like that ones to motivate the Republican base to all those past right of center.

And then there's the cat lady stuff I saw too, that's definitely more right wing strategy. Specifically religious right. No kids, no family? No family values. That one's pretty obvious for where it's going.

Kelly's spot isn't in contention until 2028 so that's not an issue and Arizona has a democratic governor (Katie Hobbs) who isn't up for reelection until 2026 so she can fill the seat with someone who will have 4 years to establish themselves.

All in all Kelly would be a great choice.

Been trying to keep feelers out for the vibes....whatever that means.

Seeing mostly Bashear now. He's seen as the anti-Vance.

......But I don't know if there's really any need for an anti-Vance.

Kelly was an astronaut, navy veteran and barely scraped by. Hobbs barely scraped by, our current AG won by 20 votes. It's a very purple state, so anyone they push out is going to be an underdog.

Also Arizona has a very high independent voter percentage compared to the other two parties, iirc it's #1. So those are the people you need to win here.

I'm in VA so I get how purple works. Any argument against Kelly's replacement also works against Kelly himself in 2028. So might as well try to build up a replacement over the next 4 years.

Plus there's really strong immigration of Ds to AZ from what I understand anecdotally, similar to FL and TX. It's already more blue than 2008 VA probably, let alone by 2028.

As we approach the end of this topic with Arizona discussion, just wanna comment that I just rewatched McCain's concession speech and man...

Remember when that was the party? I mean not like they were good but they were running people at least.
