SMT2 boob Satan wins in my heart. But SMTIV:A Satan wins for its clean Revelations motif design. Even amidst the eternal Kaneko demon design vs Doi demon design flamewars that plague the SMT fanbase, the SMTIV:A Satan is pretty universally appreciated.

I like all of these except SMTIV A which is distinctly the work of the new artist Doi in a bad way. Also feels like he wanted it to actually be Lucifer IDK.
My fav is between Megami Tensei 2 and P1.

Oh, he did a Lucifer redesign for SMT5, too. In fact, it's presented as his true form.

I like the Persona one the most in theory, I'd have to see it from a front angle for a better look. I like what I can see of the mask face, but it looks like it runs the risk of just being a big dragon monster with a mask nailed on. If the mask is integrated cleanly into the design, it wins no contest.

Yeah, it's... alright. I don't know, he's in an unenviable position to follow up so many great Lucifer designs in this series. This one felt simultaneously too safe/derivative yet out there. Kinda looks like a toy. Sometimes I also think the improving 3D graphics can be a burden on this series. Several of those Kaneko designs could feasibly lose their sauce in HD 3D.

Doi has done some good work, I just wish he'd stop making so many generic anime waifus. It's a similar issue as what modern Yugioh has.

Yeah, his designs for Adramelech, Amon, Aitvaras, Fionn mac Cumhail, Manananggal, Nyami Nyami, Anansi, and the Qaditsu are all great.

Then you have awful designs like his takes on Demeter, Amanozako, and Zeus.

And then you have his takes on Odin and Dagda which are not bad in a vacuum, but poorly represent the gods that they are based on (and to be fair, Kaneko's naked purple man design for Odin was also pretty bad, too).
